This is a registered flock and all sheep sold carry as accurate of a pedigree as possible. The flock emphasizes Suffolks with strong maternal and production traits. The flock has been enrolled in the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP) since 1983, and enrolled into the Voluntary Scrapie Certification program during the Fall of 2001. The flock has been monitored for the spider gene through testing. Sheep offered for sale carry at least one “R” factor at Codon 171. The past five years all lambs sold have been scanned for REA and 12th fib fat measurements. It truly is a flock with “BALANCED” genetics in a structurally sound package, striving for Suffolk breed character and freedom from black fiber. Bob still has a large selection of later born ram lambs for sale. Their 2003 production sale is scheduled for 6:30 PM, Saturday, May 3rd.
